The same way we talk about ups and downs of sugar in your blood system causing uncontrollable craving attacks, the emotional rollercoaster we go through everyday has the same effect taking us out of balance.
So if everything is changing, how can we keep inner-peace in challenging times?
1. Accept Change
Change is a natural thing and happens everywhere and all the time. Think of the millions of transformations that happens in your body on a cellular level and how magically orchestrated they are. You do not have to control them, actually when you try to intervene (with substances or emotions)is when the issue happens.
The only permanent thing in our lives is our breath, so hold on to it and be grateful you still breathing. It is the only certainty we have until the next drop.
2, Believe in Balance
Equilibrium is our natural state. Our body, mind and soul will always work hard to achieve perfect harmony. Trust the process, it is not going to be always an easy ride, but the ups and downs are part of the journey, so just be aware of it and make the most of every moment.
3. Have Fun, Have Faith
It is our overthinking, over worrying, over complicating that disturbs inner-peace. Does not matter what the challenge is, hang on to the moment, not the past, not the future, just have faith in the present moment because harmony is being restored now.
The sooner you understand you create your reality, this empowerment will give you strength to sail the Seven Seas or at least the courage to go up the next hill!
Meditation, music and writing are my life hacks to help me reestablish connection to a pure state of mind where you are conscious, aware and capable of handling skillfully any situation in life. It is important to recognize what are yours, keep them in your tool kit and practice everyday as nobody is or will ever be perfect.
We are not robots and what distinguish human beings is our beautiful capacity to connect with emotions and what will make our existence optimal is the capacity to manage feelings in a kind and compassionate way.
Next time you are in a rollercoaster, instead of scream in desperation, smile with love!
