After having to get in shape for the Men’s Health and Women’s Health photoshoots in record time, my relationship with food and exercising changed. Surprisingly and luckily temporary, not for the best... You might think that the picture look good, but I can tell you that I did not feel good.
I was on a such restrictive diet and military training regime that my self-obsession consumed the joy of looking after my most precious possession: a perfectly working body, not THE perfect body.

For me it is essential to have a mind & soul workout.
Yoga not only stretches and strengthen you body but it also opens and relax your mind.
Meditation has transformed my life.
People that now know me do not believe that when I was at University (and also working full time, shooting a documentary, learning English and French) I ended up in hospital few times because of stress crises.
I also had severe hair loss when going through divorce.
Learning how to train my brain to be still brought me clarity and made me a calmer person.
Plus it make us a kinder human being!
What you put inside shows in the outside. Diets are boring and restrictions makes us sad.
Understanding the benefits of healthy eating is the best way to truly improve your lifestyle and consequently have a better and happier life.

I try to avoid the bad 3 whites as much as I can. I also do not eat any form of animal protein keeping a Whole Food, Plant Based Lifestyle.
Not eating meat, seafood,white carbs, refined sugar and dairy improved my energy levels, my skin and helped me to naturally lose weight.
Instead of going cold turkey, try to gradually reduce your consumption.
It has been a journey for me too, not long ago I was having massive burgers, with chips and mayo. Even these days I have to constantly remind myself of what is good for me and have to be honest and admit that I am still a sugar addicted and French macaroons are my weak spot!
Everyone can benefit from having more organic, fresh, plant-based food included in their meals, so why not to start there and slowly reducing the amount of the not so good for you stuff?
80/20, apparently this is the secret number, so I try to be good 80% of the time and the other 20% I treat myself without guilty or shame!
As much as it is important to have discipline, indulging every now and again not only stimulates your metabolism processing different food but also has incredible mood enhancing benefits!
Balance between your professional and personal life is also fundamental for happiness. At the end of life you will never think "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so make sure that you spend more time with your loved ones and looking after yourself.
In the end, the love legacy we leave behind and the good we brought to the world it is really what makes the difference and our lives worthwhile.

Everything flows better when you have a rested and relaxed mind. Your focus improves and you are alert and all your senses alive.
You do not burn calories doing cardio, you do not build muscles when working out, it is during your sleep that the magic happens.
In addition, lack of deep sleep has severe impact in your immune system and hormonal balance. Basically if you do not allow time for your body to rest and restore the machine will eventually crash.
